M-Two did help with development on the Resident Evil 3 Remake, and the rumor says that the development of RE 4’s remake would also be worked on by the Resident Evil 2 and Devil May Cry 5 teams. The development will supposedly be headed by M-Two, a new studio founded by the former head of Platinum Games, Tatsuya Minami. Most likely, Capcom would want to release Resident Evil 8 before another remake. According to the report from VGC, early preparation for the remake has been happening since 2018, and Capcom is eyeing a release date in 2022.
